Global Outreach strives to develop globally minded followers of Christ
who have a heart for the lost, hurting, oppressed, orphaned, and unreached.
By partnering with different organizations, we can make a difference around the world.
Summit partnered with Stadia to build Nueva Vida Church in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Stadia is an international church planting organization that supported the build of this church while Compassion International facilitates child sponsorship relationships between Bolivian church families and Summit families. Summites can go on a short–term trip to visit Nueva Vida church and their sponsor children.
Summit partners with Agape International Mission (AIM) to fight sex trafficking in Cambodia. AIM houses and cares for rescued children, provides employment to victims, and has planted churches in the areas they serve. Summit brings teams of law enforcement and military professionals to assist in the training of anti-trafficking police with AIM SWAT. Men's Encounter volunteers facilitate a similar event for men who lived much of their lives in the USA and were deported back to Cambodia. Short–term teams from Summit visit Cambodia each year and offer a variety of ways to serve.
Summit partners with Missions of Hope International (MOHI) and Christian Missionary Fellowship in the Mathare Valley of Nairobi Kenya. The Mathare Valley is one of the largest slum communities in Africa, lacking clean water, sanitation, education, and jobs. MOHI’s school in Kiamaiko has been our partner for many years. Short–term teams support MOHI’s work in Kiamaiko each year.
San Francisco City Impact
In 2015 Summit began sending mission teams to the Tenderloin District of San Francisco to serve at City Impact. City Impact serves the tenderloin community through a community church, rescue mission, K-8th grade school, health clinic, thrift store, adopt–a–building, and regular street outreaches. Summit teams of high school students visit each fall, and adults visit each spring. Team members support all of the aspects of City Impact’s ministry and have an opportunity to work on a unique mission field that is also very close to home.
